Wild Florals

  • Jacqs Scourfield

My graduate collection Wild Florals, is inspired by the forms of wild flowers and untamed foliage, found in my hometown Pembrokeshire. Integral to the design development of this project is the investigation of materiality and processes, leading me to become intrigued by how I could recreate their natural forms and silhouettes out of luxury materials; metal and glass. This collection incorporates laser cutting, water jet cutting and powder coating, alongside sand blasting to create textural surface embellishments. Inspired by the concept of bringing outdoor greenery inside, my project outcome features a collection of surface samples and 3D design objects for luxury interiors, commercial spaces and visual merchandising. I'm proud to be exhibiting my collection at New Designers, during week one on stand JC66.
