William Morris / London Craft Week

This short film documents a live tattooing event that took place at the William Morris Gallery as part of London Craft Week 2020. Daniel the Gardener, an internationally acclaimed tattoo artist originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, worked in the Gallery's archives drawing inspiration from Morris's botanical designs. During the event Daniel demonstrated his process of designing freehand on the subject's body, adapting his images to create a unique piece of living art.
