Wishful Seating

A quietly poignant installation, physicalising a collective message – wish you were here.  4no benches, double the standard length measuring approx. 2.4m long, representing our distanced reality whilst forming socially distanced seating. Each bench to be positioned 2m apart in a perfectly straight line. Constructed from mild steel, powder coated matte white and sustainably certified Accoya timber. The installation is to settle into its surroundings, encouraging the public to look twice and pause for thought as they see its bold and heart felt message.
