'With Nature, In Mind’ consists of ten surface pattern designs inspired by Biophilia. Bright, bold and detailed, combining traditional drawing and painting techniques with a digital finish. Each design encompasses aspects of British nature, with the aim to reconnect people to the natural world through interior decoration and furnishings. This collection combines the practice of Illustration with the concept of Biophilic Design as a way to encourage positive emotional responses. In today’s world where life can often become fast paced, busy and stressful - Biophilic Design aims to alleviate negative emotions through the proven benefits of nature. These patterns bring that purpose to life by illustrating the wonder, beauty and imagination that nature projects. Suitable for use in a range of settings such as; home or office environments to create a balance between heavy technology use and the natural world, waiting rooms and specialist units to provide respite in terms of mental/physical health, and in places of care such as nursing homes, nurseries and schools.
