WOEHA!

In 2015, me and two friends with whom I had conducted a research project in Ethiopia, decided to give something back to this beautiful, but poor country we had visited and fallen in love with. Since that year, we organize a yearly fundraiser (called Woeha!’*) where we educate, entertain and feed between 400-500 people from the early morning until late at night. In two editions, we have reached an enthusiastic and growing group of visitors/supporters, who have contributed over 24.000€, all of which has been invested in Ethiopia by providing basic needs like water (boreholes) and education (infrastructure). *'Woeha!' means water in Amharic, the Ethiopian national language
