Purpose Jewellery
Artisanal jewellery handcrafted by survivors of human trafficking, Purpose helps provide, not only healthcare and counselling to the young women and girls who have escaped this past life, but also a future of hope and dignity through employment, education and training.
Proceeds from your purchase go to International Sanctuary, a program that provides holistic and on-going support to survivors, and help towards the goal of having 10 sanctuaries in operation across the world by 2020.
Each elegantly created piece comes with a hand signed tag by the individual who made it, so you can see directly how your purchase is changing lives and helping women globally to find their own freedom through self sufficiency.
A range of sustainably sourced products, alongside premium pieces, provide gifts galore for you and your loved ones. With exquisite pieces that reflect the cultural heritage of the people that shaped them, each item helps empower girls and women who thought those roots taken away from then, and help provides the liberty of self-determination.
Elegantees
A New York fashion brand that brings together the aesthetics of the big apple and the ethics of a global community together, Elegantees clothes are designed in the USA but cut and sewn in Nepal. However, far from being another story of Western industry profiteering from Eastern sweatshop labour, Elegantees helps women rescued from human trafficking through the means of eliminating poverty. Providing a living wage for their Nepalese seamstresses their sewing centre provides meaningful and viable work under a fair wage structure that is 2 or 3x higher than the Nepalese minimum wage and also offers paid time off for their workers.
The cotton used in the production of the garments is also ethically sourced from GOTS Certified Organic Cotton suppliers in India meaning that the farmers selling their produce receive a fair and liveable wage without having to work with harmful or damaging chemicals along the way.
With sizes and shapes for all women, this brand believes in bringing fashion to everyone and not making everyone conform to the all too often unrealistic standards of beauty set by the fashion industry.
