A brightly coloured flock of sheep were found grazing in Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to celebrate Wool Week 2017.
The witty installation had been specially commissioned to showcase the latest wool fabrics and carpets from some of the most important names in the industry. Bringing together irresistibly tactile textures in innovative colour combinations, it encouraged visitors to consider the journey from fleece to floor. Warm and comforting, soft and luxurious – wool provides an unmatched sensory experience. Created by designer Karina Garrick, this pop-up celebrated the versatility and natural properties of wool, well-loved by interior designers and style-seekers alike.
There was a bespoke Wool Week trail and Wool Discovery Tour at participating showrooms to discover more about the beauty, quality and performance of wool - from the sheerest of sheers to the richest fabrics and rugs.
The Campaign for Wool was initiated by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2010 to promote better understanding and use of natural and sustainable benefits of real wool. It has united the international community of wool growers, manufacturers, retailers and wool lovers. Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour was proud to be part of the international campaign.
