World Photography Day X Asya Verzhbinsky

We're starting the celebration of #worldphotographyday off early with these stunning photographs shot by our client Asya Verzhbinsky. Starting out as a Classical Ballet Dancer, studying at renowned schools such as San Francisco Ballet School @ and the School of American Ballet in New York . Influences from Verzhbinskys dancing background can be found throughout her work. While with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Asya started photographing for the company. Her work immediately began to appear in programmes and on posters. In 2002 she retrained in photography with a grant from the Dancers' Career Development. Her work has regularly appeared in Dance Magazine, Dance Europe, Ballett2000, The Dancing Times, Royal Ballet School and English National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet publications and all the British national newspapers. In July 2002, Asya was the recipient of the Award for Development of Individual Artists from London Arts.
