World Zombie Day: London 2012

  • Megan Aileen Williams

The highly anticipated annual event attracts hundreds of zombies each year to groan and shamble through Central London in aid of the charity St. Mungo’s. The zombie horde will gather at an undisclosed location then make its way around a pre-arranged route, calling at set pubs for hour long stops while taking in some of London’s most beloved landmarks. The final pub will feature performances by zombie burlesque acts Kitty Minx and Ruby Fortune; comedic stylings of Tiernan Douieb and Danielle Ward; alongside Britain's premier Steampunk band The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing. Tickets are not needed but a £2 donation is requested at the door; all proceeds will go to St. Mungo's. If that's not enough, join us for the post-apocalypse midnight screening of ‘Shaun of the Dead’ at the Leicester Square theatre. As there are limited seats, the film viewing (and encore performance by The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing) is a ticketed so do purchase in advanced.
