'Wot Do U Call It?' Launch Night

  • Andy Djaba

To mark Black History Month and to celebrate the release of 'Wot Do U Call It?', a magazine dedicated to grime & Black British music, I collaborated with Imperial College Union to bring a panel discussion focused on Blackness in the music & creative industries, followed by live musical performances!

The event was hosted by presenter and Warwick University Maths & Economics graduate, Fé Oj (pictured above).
The evening kicked off with the panel discussion on Blackness in the music & creative industries, hosted by myself and Isaac Freeling, my co-host on '2 Gs in a Pod' podcast (pictured above).
(Pictured above from left to right): Music artist, Lemzi, comedic creative and entrepreneur, Ola the Comedian, and journalist and Warwick University student, Izin Akhabau, joined the panel on the evening.
(Pictured below): DJ MM was on the decks all night, whilst OGB performed poetry and live musical performances were courtesy of Koko, Wona, Zoe Collins and Daniel Taiwo, curated by Jeri Oye and Tani Afolabi.
