The online exhibition ’YEARBOOK 2020’ is hosted and curated by Shutter Hub and showcases the work of over 200 photographers. The show was created in response to the mass amount of graduate shows cancelled this year as a direct effect of the coronavirus pandemic and promotes work by those who are graduating in such uncertain times alongside work by emerging artists and those currently working in the industry. ‘With most of the graduate shows cancelled this year and uncertainty about when events of that size and nature will be able to go ahead, we started thinking about what these shows mean for those involved, and what they’re missing by not having them. In many ways they echo the ethos of Shutter Hub exhibitions – group shows of work by many varied photographers, promoted to the photography world, attended by industry experts, other photographers’ networks and potential employers…’ - Quote sourced from shutterhub.org.uk. Imagery from my series ‘Residues’ (2020) is included within the exhibition. The project focuses on the pain of loss and the human obsession with preventing the inevitability of death; both of which are themes that seem more poignant in this current moment when reflecting upon current events. The exhibition ‘YEARBOOK 2020’ opens on the 09th of July and continues until 09th September. You can visit the exhibition by visiting the exhibitions menu on the Shutter Hub website or using the link : https://shutterhub.org.uk/exhibition-yearbook-2020/ For more info on Shutter Hub visit - W: www.shutterhub.org.uk IG: @shutter_hub TW: @shutter_hub
