I had an opportunity to compose music for Yoster's 2022 Resources Collection. Women were created twice in the Old Testament. Lilith, the first woman in the world, was formed from dust by God and placed in the garden with Adam until issues emerged between Adam and Lilith when Adam attempted to exert dominance over her. Lilith then abandoned the Garden of Eden in order to seek her independence. The open-ended nature of the Lilith symbol has allowed different groups to use her as a destructive female symbol or a symbol of female power. The second woman Eve was also created by God, according to the second chapter, by removing her from Adam's rib to be Adam's companion. She decides to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the result is that Adam and Eve are expelled from the Garden of Eden. These two “sinner” women meet for the first time in a gorgeous nameless limbo where they only communicate through the moments of nature.
