You've Known Me For The Decades . . . But I Wouldn't Even Recognise The Smell of Your Skin is a project for emerging menswear designer Joanna De Ligt. Drawing inspiration from the idea of how female presence has been studied throughout the history - from cinema to paintings and photography main focus has always been women, by men - their softness, appearance and vulnerability and how men saw it and wanted to showcase it. It is fairly recently that women have turned from passive to active and gained access to explore male figure, along with their own sexuality, desires and interests through the medium of art and men. It's quite an interesting shift - most contemporary art want to represent women as this strong, independent figure, while we also have opened a conversation on how it's completely acceptable for men to be vulnerable and soft, while still remaining masculine.
