Cuyabeno reserve is one of the biggest protected national areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Siona people are one of the indigenous ethnic groups that live in this region and that I had the pleasure to meet on my last visit to the country a few months back. The pictures show one of the most common food processes created by the community with the 'yuca' or 'cassava', a woody shrub native to South America.
