Project Category: Moving Image (Animation) Director, Animator and Editor: Michelle Pang Sound Designer: Tom Fletcher Yukio is a short animation inspired by the translated extracts from the Kamikaze pilot manual. It essentially depicts a hopeless situation created by war. The story evolves around 10 instructions and a young pilot named Yukio Araki. Each frame is hand-drawn on paper then later animated digitally; the technique used is 4 frames mixes. With this I hope to evoke thinking on the fact that such darkness in humanity continues to exist and that war's devastation haunts far too many.
