ZEST

An editorial exploring gender identities and gender performance, with model Jonny who does drag under the name Banksie. I'm very interested in the concept of blurring the boundaries between what is stereotypically 'male' and 'female'. For the makeup I was inspired by Claude Cahun's self portraits series. The styling was inspired by 1950s clothing which creates a juxtaposition of the classic cliché housewife style dress contrasted with the contemporary subject.
