- I second Calton Hill and Arthur's Seat - both great for views of the city
- YES - Arthur’s Seat, Holyrood park, Dean Village, Leith docks, portobello beach, Circus Mews, Calton Hill, Haymarket, Old College (the Uni), and many many more small little alleyways on the royal mile and up to the castle, or the quirky shops and cafes down leith walk!
