As someone frustrated and unsettled in the corporate working world, what advice can be given to someone needing a creative career shift?

My biggest regret is giving up Art at A-Level, a subject where my teachers always supported me in and recognised my true potential. I gave up everything artistic when looking towards University, pushed in the direction of academia and an underlying expectation to 'go with the grain'. Subsequently after gaining a BSc and MSc, the working world loomed and suddenly became far more daunting than exciting, due to what felt like an abrupt end to the enjoyment of University years and a sudden reality check of imminent employment.

My pathway into employment was very much the expectation of my university lecturers and peers, and was dominated by competition and pressure. I firmly believe that if I had continued a career path in Art and Design, the subject I thoroughly enjoyed at school and resisted being influenced by everyone around me, my life would be fully satisfied and I would be carving a career in a creative field in which I truly belong.

While I am still young and have time to progress, I want to move forwards in my career in a creative field. My talents lie in my artwork, which I pursue during every spare minute I can find, photography and music. I would really appreciate any professional advice on how I can make my name in a completely contrasting creative environment, but within which I know would be much more suited.
