Best freelance websites?

I’ve become more aware of the fact that I’m not utilising my talents enough especially when I could be making money from them. I’m really into Photography & Digital Art and I’d love to do freelance on the side of my 9-5. Please recommend some trustworthy sites. Thanks

  • Freelancer.com is about as useful as fiver. Check out the feeble budgets they offer. It's probably great if you lie in your parent's basement. Gositeright is fairly hopeless as well. UpWork may be of some use but I sense that you are being given advice by people with a vested interest in these sites! Behance is competitive but good. Run by Adobe. And there is also Twine which is struggling to provide listings at the moment but the people that run it are very nice. If you are an illustrator stay away from Hireillo, they are just timewasters.
  • For high quality work, I usually recommend https://www.toptal.com/ . They work with designers but not sure about Photography & Digital Art.

Also, if you use Linkedin you can set up your profile to Providing services and set which services you offer.
  • A lot of what you'll need will be on here peeps.
