Cringe Mag is open for submissions! (Deadline 10 October)

Question

We're excited to announce that Cringe is officially open for submissions for issue 4: Belonging.

While our Perception issue looked at how we’re perceived by others and how we relate to them, be that through the lens of the beauty and fashion industry or lack of being perceived by the other in parasocial relationships, this issue focuses more closely on how the self fits into our surroundings or indeed, occasionally fails to do so.

We're asking you to interrogate your pursuit of connection, your desire to be part of something beyond yourself. We want you to think of the warmth we feel when a space feels like home, and the coldness that slices through us when we're made to feel as if we don't belong. What behaviours do we adopt to be accepted? How do we mould ourselves into spaces others have occupied before us?

In issue 4, we dissect what it really means, and what it feels like, to feel belonging - and thereby have our own existence affirmed
