Dear Artists, I am curious how you have built up a good enough following to sell your art and make a "living" off it?
Any advice would be amazing:)
I am an artist and would love to be able to sell my work so that people can enjoy it:)

- @Amelia Molly Mae Potter (The Lost Artist©2020) Ah that is amazing, thank you for the encouragment :D Given me hope haha
- @Sophy Robson Wow, thank you for that. That what I was thinking that it just takes years of being persistant, also I don't know how I feel about NFT's but I heard one sold for millions aha
- Hello Charlie, I have been a freelancer for about 4 years and my 3/4th year are my most successful. I dont actually have a lot of 'followers' or not that popular on insta for example. I get my work through word of mouth, business cards, creating portfolios suited to advertise my work etc. It takes time and patience. But eventually year by year it gets more awesome! Just keep at it, dont gove up or be disheartened. I hope this helped! :)
- Dear Charlie this is an interesting question as I feel like these days you’re expected to be an artist and market yourself as a business. Personally I do art for me and look for opportunities where my services can be paid for. I’ve sold paintings by putting on a show but that isn’t very cos effective if you look at time and costs vs how much they sell for and I don’t have a studio. From what I know through other graffiti artists establishing a market takes years to build up. The ones that do it well have had massive low points themselves but have kept going and played to to the hype around their names. I’m really interested in the NFT space as that’s a way into the market and you can create the art you want
