Does anyone know how to get into the fashion business?

- Depends on the area of the industry... But I'd say finding small/medium size brands and emailing them over your CV is a good shout (good way to find these brands is looking at online department stores neta porter for example). Its quite common for office assistants/admins to move up through the business with smaller fashion brands. There are plenty of transferable skills you can use from your assistant sales manager experience - consider applying for jobs at flagship/concept stores as they'll have stronger links with the office teams of the brand / also consider show rooms during fashion week as a way of networking with brands.
