Fellow freelancers - what is your opinion on an umbrella company? Seeing a few opportunities coming in under IR35 but unsure if worth it

- I've worked though a couple of them, mainly Giant and Parasol. If you stick to the big, well known ones you shouldn't have a problem.Of course, you'll be paying employers National Insurance as well as your employees but hopefully the day rate will be bumped up to compensate! I think my net pay was around 60% of the total day rate.The day rate was higher so for me it was worth it.You'll also need to complete a simple timesheet for the umbrella alongside any other timesheets you do for the client so a little bit of extra admin. You'll also need to go through a set-up process at the start to prove your identity - copy of passport etc
