Happy August Folks, I am seeking music composers and contemporary dancers who are open to collaborating to create some short sharable pieces
I am working with an East London Studio to create three short dance pieces. The purpose of this is to construct sharable materials for all collaborators that can be used for social media, showreels, websites etc.
Composers - I am really interested in hearing from Composers who have a 60-90sec piece of music that they think might lend itself to contemporary dance. Or a music piece (60-90sec) that they would like to have movement put to so they can share/highlight their work.
Dancers - I would love to hear from recent graduates, or professional dancers who would benefit from having showreel material.
For the dancers there would be a larger time commitment as you would be needed for rehearsal and shoot day. The work needs to be of a high calibre, I will not abuse your time nevertheless we will work to mould pieces of quality that celebrate your skill.
There will be two group pieces and one pas de deux. If you are experienced dancing with a pas de deux partner you are welcome to both apply.
If you wish to submit as a dancer, or composer, please get in contact and I will send you a google form to complete.
This is not a paid opportunity. However the studio will take on the production costs, including post production. I will be taking on the rehearsal costs for the dancers.
The footage received will be yours to share on all non monetised platforms.
We intend to utilise the August downtime in the studio. Therefore rehearsal and shoot will be towards the end of August.
