Hello everyone, Do you have any advice on where to start looking for graphic design internships? Many thanks

  • I would say you need to build up a good design portfolio as well when applying. Show them your potential.
  • Have your tried seeing if there is an internship opportunity posted on this platform? If not, check that out. Other platforms where you can find internships include Wellfound, LinkedIn, or some of the platforms listed here: https://www.creativelivesinprogress.com/article/newsletters-mailing-lists-for-creative-entry-level-jobs
    Hope this helps.
  • Seconding Cat's suggestions – when starting out I emailed agencies I liked and got jobs that way. Internship programs are very competitive but also a great option – fyi NB just put the call out for theirs last week

"If you’re a design or animation graduate and would like to join NB’s internship program then please send your portfolio to becky@nbstudio.co.uk"
  • Check with some agencies who’s work you like and see if they offer internships or contact them directly and ask. Some bigger agencies have internship positions open regularly or do internship academies (i.e. DixonBaxi).

Another way of keeping your eye out for them is to follow agencies you like on socials as that’s where they’ll often post about internships and job opportunities.

    Best of luck! ☺️
