Hello, here's the portfolio I've been working on in uni. I would love some feedback if anyone would be nice to provide.

  • Really unique and interactive way for users to view your portfolio, love the idea behind it especially relating to the overarching collage theme of your work. Just be mindful of the user experience though - it's quite hard to understand how to navigate the work at first due to the scrambled collage layout and people with accessibility issues may struggle with type/copy overlapping imagery.

Theres definitely a happy medium to be found though where the copy is clear but not at the sacrifice of the interactive feature of the projects.

My suggestion would be find a layout that works for the copy where it's clear and legible with nothing overlapping it, then use a separate space for the interactive collage of projects - that will help people understand the format of your portfolio first before trying to figure it out as they go.

    Good luck with it!!
  • @Stew Calladine Thank you so much for my feedback. I remember talking to my tutors about whether to show the process of my projects like sketches and experiments, but they said it was not nescessary but hearing your input has made me reconsider, maybe putting the process underneathh the final outcome?

For the instructions, maybe I need to make them larger or placed for viewers to see them immediately before the other images. Thank you again for your input.
  • Hi there, love the idea and concept of the portfolio. Really unique! I found it a hard to understand at first, so maybe the instructions could be grouped in a way for ease. With the work itself, some great pieces, I would have liked to see some earlier development pieces in some.

Overal looks great, just make it super simple for people to navigate. I recently recieved some good advise from creative recruiters that they like to scroll through projects, let it tell a story. Maybe allowing the viewer to scroll down through all the projects as well would be good.
