Hey I’m trying to find a job as a runner / production assistant in film / tv / media. Do you have any advice? Or tips and tricks?
I’d be super grateful!!!

- @Alfie Newson thank you Alfie! I’m gonna definitely do that! Thanks so much!
- @Matei-Alexandru Mocanu thank you so so much!!!
- Hey Agnes,I just graduated so can add my bit from recent experience. I don't know how much experience you have, so I'll just put down things that helped me out.1. Learn to drive/get a car with business insurance. There's really nothing more important for getting work, and you'll see it everywhere on job postings.2. Search around for groups which network and stuff. In London there's Iconic Steps and Young Creatives UK. If you're under 25-30 they host job boards and events and offer mentorship. I freelanced for Iconic Steps for a little while since they run a commercial team.3. Get experience on shorts - look out for posts on here and Facebook, there are often Undergrad and Masters students looking for help which is more evidence you don't need film school. I'm also an Editor, so if you don't want to be a Runner you already have the skills to Data Wrangle/DIT which looks better on your CV and leads to higher budget sets.4. Message people everywhere.Hope that helps, good luck :)
