Hey! Looking to collaborate with a black artist on a content piece I'm making live on IG @Tonyschocolonely_uk_ire on August 23rd

Who are we?

Tony's Chocolonely is on a mission to make all chocolate 100% slave free. We do this by creating authentic, meaningful relationships with our choco fans, and together, helping to spread awareness of our mission. Social media is a huge platform for this, and as we have a no paid media policy, we rely on support from our community to help create fantastic content related to our issue.

What the idea?

This is in observance of the 'International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and it's Abolition' on the 23rd of August, a day we're taking as a company holiday.

I'm looking for a piece of hand-drawn or designed art capturing the essence of the day and need to remember the UK's involvement in the slave trade. I would like this to be colourful and spread a serious but positive message. Can discuss creative briefing on a call (see our Dutch channel for reference: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCES0xhpA0P/)

Why are we doing this?

We want to continue to engage with black creators and raise awareness of the particular historical relevance of the day. We also want to make sure the art shows this in an educational but positive light, highlighting black progression.

The Nitty-Gritty:

Whilst we have a non-paid media policy at Tony's, I'd happily review prices for the right piece. Our non-paid strategy is based on a need to build authentic relationships in delivering our serious message, and not simply to find free work. Also happy to simply credit & share a lot of lovely chocolate!
