Hey there! I'm currently doing a small 2D frame by frame animation and would absolutely appreciate some advice!
So, I've got a small animation at hands, which is basically a loop of someone skateboarding through a city / street. My initial plan was to do all of this in video layers in Photoshop, frame by frame and perhaps exporting to After Effects to then compose and render everything, but I'm fiding AE to crash a lot with other work I'm doing and since I'm not 100% confident with the software, I was wondering if there are other user friendly and free animation softwares.
Other than that, I'm yet trying to clarify what would be the best approach in terms of managing the different layers ( city running in the background vs different elements vs the main character skateboarding) so if any of you could spare a minute or so to discuss this would be absolutely incredible.
