So... the system I always use is this:'Hello *insert name of comissioning editor*,Line about why I love their publication.Line about previous publications I've written for & link to my previous work.Then I go into my proposed pitch:- Proposed headline- Introduction: what points will I makeParagraph 1: main pointParagraph 2: argumentParagraph 3: Another point to back-up argument trying to makeConclusion: summaryThen I thank them for their time and sign off!
