Hi everyone! I'm in need of a little help/advice. I am currently working on a brief and any help would be greatly appreciated!

The brief is about skin cancer and how black people are diagnosed at a later stage due to a lack of awareness and signs being difficult to spot.

Yes, still on IPlayer. He investigates possible reasons why black/ BAME people may be being treated differently by medical professionals. Very good.

  • @Morphe Digital Design There is a lack of awareness as doctors/nurses are always given white models to work with and also black people tend to think they don't have to wear sunscreen and protect themselves from skin cancer
  • Hi Maisie,
If you didn’t catch the documentary on BBC tv tonight by David Harewood, give it a watch. It may answer some of the questions you’re looking at!
  • @Maisie Payne I’d start with the websites of the NHS, cancer charities etc., then search LinkedIn for medical professionals you can connect with, who can help you out (or can pass details to you of others). Also try medical illustrators (there are some on LinkedIn). Also, google medical journals and papers, for the very latest information. New Scientist is also very good. This should give you a starting point!
    Good luck.
