hi, have just been developing my online gallery/boutique https://intuitdezign.com I'd really love some pointers & feedback many thanks

I suppose i can already see quite a lot of where my strengths and weaknesses are. My biggest issue is around sales copy and how to market what it is that i'm creating: i'm not very good with "blah", and so am finding it quite difficult. This, coupled with living quite out the way from the mainstream world makes it quite daunting as to where do i take it from here

any advise would be really appreciated

thanks again

  • @Sophy Robson aye... i've been looking too... Sorting out the SEO to start with, but was thinking of starting in Pinterest, as i already have a following, and kinda know my way around :)

but SEO... wow, i see why people get paid for doing it... phewww.. 2 days on one page, just tweeking it wee bit at a time :/

  • @Anna Dora L. hey Anna, thanks for taking the time, and thanks also for you insights ... it's maybe true about the grey bkgrd, but i found that as i was developing the site( nothings fixed yet) that the base white was just a bit intense on the eyes ... perhaps also due to staring at the screen for hours. I muted it all cos it was giving me a headache. Maybe an off white/creamier grey would be better?

As to blah ... like how many things have i read or watched to try find some good instruction as to how to write "good copy" ... even getting to a point of wondering if i should pay someone else. This said, i really dont feel that it needs to be too "marketing" as to feel pushy.

I looked at your IG ... you make some beautiful images :)
  • Hello Dave,

For the website I would highlight just one thing design wise I'm not a fan of the dark grey to keep it everything white would help to shine your work. I do understand you try to make it more designed however I don' think you need any colour in it as your work already quite intense.

In case of the 'blah' part i totally feel your pain. the best if you keep it short and sweet and honest. Nothing salesy on the website, simple highlighting your unique business idea / offer. Hope it helps.

Feel free to connect on https://www.instagram.com/annadoralascsik/ as well.
  • @Sophy Robson , Hi Sophy, and thanks for the feedback :) i wonder, would you have any ideas as to where "the right places" might be? I'm pushing it a wee bit on FB at the moment, and am writing some ads for Pinterest too ... are there like special places to get the site listed
    / referenced as well?
