Hi! I am looking for a London based experienced Documentary Research Assistant, pref with some knowledge of the black Caribbean community.

The documentary is a personal story about Eric and Jessica Huntley. The historical backdrop is the 1953 coup in British Guiana (now Guyana) - Eric and Jessica Huntley set up one of the first black publishing houses in the UK and platformed some extraordinary talent during a time when these platforms were not in existence for the black community. They also had a bookshop that became an important community hub which doubled as a citizen's advise bureau for problems faced by the black community with education, the police, housing etc
They became an important part of a wider political movement in British History and an important story to tell.

We have shot a lot of the documentary. We have a story line and need a researcher for the specific points to the story.
Research will be from home and at the London Metropolitan Archives in London. It The work is approximately 3-4 weeks work - full time or part time.
Please get in touch for further information or share to possible candidates who might find this post of interest .
Many thanks!
