I currently need a volunteer to help create courses for people in the developing world
My project, Portal Academy, is all about creating a holistic online learning environment for people creating ecovillages, permaculture projects, homesteads, and community projects for vulnerable populations. We want to help build resilient members of communities in the developing world so as to prepare better for the coming hardships of climate change.
No one is coming to the rescue when it comes to this issue, as much as we might wish for the leaders of the world to take the climate emergency seriously and move. We are too used to 'civilization' to recognize the fact that it is driving us to extinction. Portal Academy wishes to be a gateway to a new way of thinking and eventually a new way of life.
Inspired by Solarpunk sentiments, we envision a bright and hopeful future that addresses environmental and social justice concerns in equal measure by encouraging a return to nature and sovereignty of the people.
But the people have to be informed. Be on the groundfloor with us and help to change lives. We will not be free forever as it is proven that even paying a little provides motivation to commit to a curriculum or project. So there is an earning potential. However our pricing structure will be fair.
