I'm looking for a freelance Jnr Digital PM to join our lovely team. Clients range from Pharma, not-for-profit companies and retail.
The key role of the Project Manager is to deliver mid-size projects (between £50k and £250k) to the requirements of the client brief, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. Project management is the engine of the agency, responsible for balancing the need for exceptional quality with project profitability.
Project Planning & Management
- Managing triage, including assessing feasibility, risk, team, opportunity, timing, budgets and deliverables before the work starts on any project.
- Planning and scoping the project and owning the Scope of Work (finalising time and budget).
- Manage end to end delivery of our BAU managed services function with an associated budget of £500k p/a.
- Successfully manage a range of digital projects including web builds and on off development pieces.
- Lead daily stand-ups with dev teams ensuring all parties are clear on their roles and responsibilities.
- Ability to translate technical terminology into jargon-free language for the benefit of client comms.
- Familiar with Agile ways of working, Umbraco CMS, Jira, hosting set-ups and best practice QA methodologies.
Managing the Commercials
- Delivering the project to the expected profits for RY. Being the face of the project in weekly project status meetings. Also owning financial management in the eyes of the client, proactively providing regular update reports to them.
- Helping inform decision regarding project write-offs, ensuring the condition of the project has been thoroughly and accurately reviewed.
- Managing the scope of work to budget, ensuring the budget is kept up to date and is accurate.
- Mitigating against risks and tracking issues, escalating concerns well before they become critical.
- Take ownership of the financial management of our SLA workstreams, running budget reconciliations and reporting back to both internal and external stakeholders.
Resource Management
- Working with the Workflow team, and in line with company workflow practices, agree and assign the RY team required to deliver against the brief.
- Managing the allocated RY project team to deliver against the brief, budget and timeline − driving them through to successful completion. Ensuring everyone is focused on the brief and is working to the same plan.
- Managing and coordinating all clients involved in the project, as well as any third parties, to deliver necessary assets and milestones on time and to the required specification.
