I’m looking for advice/projects to work on that can add to my portfolio to get into digital/motion graphics (current graphics/brand design)
Learning after effects currently, and have a little social media experience. I have access to premier pro, but haven’t used it.

- Have a look at the school of motion or if you are looking to get into 3d motion graphics check out https://www.cineversity.com/Hope it's useful and let me know if you have any questions.
- The best way to learn After Effects is to setting up unique projects and task like how to animate a walk cycle and then look online in Google like "How to animate walk cycle in after effects", etc.You could ask your friends to give you a short job like... If you were to animate YouTube video, how would you imagine and animate the assets to make it interesting? Research into other motion designers and see how did do it... If it helps, you can try to download the videos and see it frame by frame to understand what's going on with the assets. This is how I learnt to understand, experiment and build animations myself and after 10 years of work, I am still discovering new methods, trends and styles with my field. As Tom Kitto mentioned, Youtube is a great start to learn After Effects. Here are other portals that you can look into:https://www.vimeo.com (It has some tutorials for After Effects)https://library.creativecow.net (Tutorials on different and software projects)https://forums.creativecow.net (Great forum to ask questions or having any problems that you may have, etc.http://www.pinterest.com (Surprisingly, you can find some unique tutorials from here.Free Services:https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials (Basic to advance tutorials)Paid Services:https://motiondesign.school/ (Great to learn the basic of animation)Other suggestions:https://workbench.tv/tutorialshttps://angietaylor.co.uk/category/tutorials/[I haven't used these two links above myself but it looks promising and a good start for you?]Also, it's good to find community of motion designers, where you can ask questions to them about any problems or suggestions. You could also connect with other people on LinkedIn for advice from designers like myself and ask questions, etc.Hope this helps and if you have any questions, feel free to drop a message.Thank you,Addz
