I will translate your English text into German, which is my native language.

I have studied five semesters law in Germany and this is a subject that requires precision and the elimination of any ambiguity in wording. I have used the acquired skills to write guidelines for brands later on.

I have now lived in London for 12 years, working for a global advertising agency. I have often been asked to check transcreations we received back from the translation agencies i.e. copy and headlines in German which were adaptations of an English original.

In advertising it is very much about the nuance in language without which the exact meaning will be lost and the way it sounds will not be quite right. This is not something any automatic translation will be able to achieve and even someone who is fluent in German but not a native speaker, will struggle with this.
