Interested to know what the costs of a social media marketer are and what a freelancer in that world would enjoy producing.

As a founder I've been trying to keep up with the maelstrom that is digital social media marketing and to be honest it is slightly distroying me (haha). We are coming up to a slight pivot point which means we can have a reasses, also I can finally start focusing on the product its self. I am intrested with limited funds (classic start up) is a Social Media wiz a worth while freelancer to have or are other methods better for marketing and getting the word out?

  • @Sarah Donaghey haha - after chatting to a few more freelancers I think I'd revise the £10 to £20 an hour!!
  • @Richard Hargrave I normally say 4-6 depending on how many brands I'm currently working with!
  • @Holly Jo Yeah defintly belive in finding good people and letting them running with it if they are experinced and happy to do so. Thanks for replying. How much time would you want a week to work on a brand? I know it depends on loads of factors but roughly.
  • As a social media marketer I would always say it's a good thing to have someone with experience around! Personally I would charge about £10 an hour, but most people in this line of work can be v flexible for startups :)
