International Students: How can we secure a graduate creative job that sponsors a visa?

I would love to get some insight as to where and how to apply for creative jobs when most creative employers do not seem to be sponsoring graduate visas?

I'm a final-year psychology student on a Tier-4 Student Visa looking to land a creative job in London upon graduation.

I am aware that the new graduate visa is supposed to be implemented in mid-2021, but it will only allow me to stay in the country for two more years.

I have experience in brand design, documentary and cinematic video production, lifestyle and events photography, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, marketing, and business strategy. In 5-10 years, I hope to be a creative director at a multinational agency, merging my multicultural background and love for leading cross-functional creative projects.

I would be grateful to receive any advice on how to enter the creative industry as a graduate while requiring visa sponsorship!

  • @ɐɹoᗡ ɐuu∀ ˥ Thank you for the resource! Unfortunately, that is not the case with the Tier 4 student visa as the visa terms state, being “self-employed” or being “engaged in business activity” is prohibited.
  • @ɐɹoᗡ ɐuu∀ ˥ I am very interested with this topic. I’m experienced designer and yet It’s impossible to get sponsorship for me but It’s easy to have projects all around the world. How can I get into that that you recommend?
  • @ɐɹoᗡ ɐuu∀ ˥ Hi, unfortunately, international students are not allowed to go freelance. Would love to hear any other suggestions!
  • Hi Daiki,

I don't want to let you down but getting sponsors for your visa as a junior it's almost impossible. I would rather recommend to go freelance, set up your own company and sponsor yourself. Hope it helps.
