Jungle Creations & Four Nine celebrate Black History Month with their 'Unapologetically Black' Panel

For centuries Black people have had to adapt themselves in numerous ways in order to assimilate to predominantly White-Western environments. In the face of microaggressions and overt racism, many have become accustomed to code-switching and to adapting who they are, from the way they wear their hair to the way they speak.

To mark Black History Month and hosted by Four Nine, ‘Unapologetically Black’ will see moderator and presenter Bisi Akins interview a panel of influential, trailblazing women in the sports, beauty and modelling industries, including Nyome Nicholas-Williams, Charlotte Mensah and Bianca Williams, as they explore beauty standards in Britain, the part advertising and marketing can play in empowering Black women and whether there will ever be a time when Black women can be authentically and unapologetically themselves in every area of British life.
