LOOKING FOR ACTORS FOR PASSION PROJECT
Hello everyone!
I am looking for an actress and actor that I can work closely with, preferably in London and potentially in Essex and surrounding areas too. I intend to workshop these characters with you, so we can build the complexity of the piece, work on characterisation, and also devise more natural dialogue together.
The Concept:
An experimental short film that captures the passing of time and the different stages that can take place within a relationship.
The Story:
A relationship that has survived a lot of challenges and readjusted to changes, two people that have always stayed connected, even though they have grown and changed as people, there are also times throughout their relationship that there is just friendship between them and they have also been content with other people (platonic), however, their relationship always remains the same and there is always that mutual level of closeness and trust etc.
The film will explore this relationship and these 'stages' through:
- Cinematography/Imagery: This will be a sex scene that took place at the beginning of their relationship
- Sound/Dialogue: A phone call that will play over the top of this imagery, which is a conversation between the individuals years later.
Please note- You will need to be comfortable following the direction and choreography of a sex scene and be able to be involved with partial nudity on set. This will be a skeleton crew, and we will create the most comfortable atmosphere we can for you. I have taken workshop classes on how to direct intimacy on set with Ita O'Brien and understand the importance of this.
Shoot dates are still unconfirmed as we are still in the very early stages of pre-production.
Pay: I am afraid this is a very small budget film, as much as we believe in paying for someones hard work, this is just a passion project, there will be some fundraising towards the film so we can enter into the festival circuit, so any extra costs from that will go towards your travel expenses.
