Portfolio review - is it interesting?; does it work?

I would love to know thoughts on my recent portfolio other creatives. I'm trying to bring a more commercial element to my personal brand as I begin to establish my aesthetic.

  • @Stefan Vallance No worries!! I can see the intention, I think for me it was more when I looked individually at the work and not on your home page. I'm not sure if you can negotiate it in a way where it your menu changes between the two? But regardless just someyhing to think about and of course as you said preferences:))
  • @Doris Mari Demetriadou Thanks for the compliment and helpful comment! (:

I went back and forth on the typesize a lot but I think the type speaks to the bold and dramatic impact I want my designs to have.

With that in mind, I hope the exaggerated sense of scale translates well for different people across different devices but if this seems to be an issue which other people have (which it usually is!), I might have to negotiate that!
  • Hey Stefan, nice work!! The only detail I would rethink is below 'work' where you list all your projects - the typesetting is too large, especially when you click onto a project it can get a bit distracting there.
  • @col dixon Wow. That would be awesome - I have recently committed myself to a full-time job but if there was anyway I could be considered for some freelance work or a project for evenings/weekends, I'd happily commit my time.

Feel free to send it across and if there's anything else you/they might need, just let me know (:
  • @Arun Mehmi Nice, really appreciate that point! I'm starting to build out my projects more so that's a great consideration.
  • Your portfolio is very diverse and you definitely have the technical ability as a designer.

The Tokyo 2020 olympics graphics are awesome! The style of presentation for the projects are clear and to the point.

For each project you have mentioned the area of discipline at the end of each project name. Maybe you could create a separate page for each discipline, like one for graphic design, one for animation and so on. It will make navigating your website that bit easier.

Nonetheless, your work is great and diverse which will appeal to various potential clients or recruiters.
  • @col dixon Sounds like I'm hitting my mark - agency is where it's at for me right now - though I wouldn't turn down a collab with those kinds of names either! ;)

    Really appreciate the comment!
