Social media presence

Would anyone have any advice on how to grow my social media prescence as a film/video/content editor? I tend to upload all my latest work to instagram but I don't know if people watch them in their entirety - should I only be uploading shorter reels? Do I need to add more hastags?     - Anything over 40 seconds, people don't even bother starting... so yeah, the shorter the better, and you can always add a link to somewhere else to watch the whole thing.
    - Hashtags are important, but tags are more. So make sure you tag as many people from your project as you can, especially ones with large following, and choose the right hashtags.
    - Brand hashtags are important as some of these brands will repost, and will mention you in those posts. which will be noticed by their followers.
    - Make sure you follow people in your network and area of interest, and hope they follow you back.
