Join us at OPEN Southall Arts Centre for an immersive exhibition, exploring the written and oral history of dissent in the British Indian Diaspora.
Hear directly from the women of Independent India, who share their personal stories of protest. Transport yourself to Deli, for the 101 day protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Dance and chant to songs integral to women’s dissent in the diaspora. Step into a history of protest, dissent and change.
As you experience these important histories, we hope that you will be inspired to continue their legacy, take up space in your communities, and question injustices you see. You will be encouraged to contribute your thoughts and ideas to the exhibition, and start conversations with those around you.
