  • Hi @Charlotte Weyer is my reply still on time? It's split into two parts :)

My work often involves making content engaging by translating seemingly dull information.
I use visualisation techniques to turn educational pieces into content that people [a] enjoy, [b] remember and [c] even take handwritten notes!

For my workshops apart from the slide deck, I also use a flipchart to sketch a process or build a line of thinking in steps. This works better for visual learners (like me) to follow, I find it tends to increases interaction with the content, improve my engagement with my audiece as it prompts questions and I see fewer droopy eyelids.

For my day to day within a cross functional team, analysing mobile app customer journeys, I choose visual tools as much as possible. These reduce cognitive burden on our often easily distracted users. Also I look for screen designs that lessen the number of clicks, e.g “metro line” bar. This is known to improve conversion because it makes it easier for customers to see and understand their progress in the purchasing process while also seeing how many steps to completion.

Lastly, thanks for the link. The Meet the Founders event was informative.
