UX designers out there what are some tools/tutorials that helped you out?

  • Once you get started, try and get feedback. That gives you different perspectives, and can really help you improve. Even listening to feedback others get can help you understand what/why/etc
  • Great response by Salomon – I cannot agree more with those top tips.

Depending on your learning preference, there are some amazing designers on Youtube, Twitter, Medium.. speaking about UX design! Some of my recs are UX Collective (https://uxdesign.cc/) and UX Planet (https://uxplanet.org/) on Medium, actively sharing thoughts on UX and UI from different writers. I also love Dribbble for UI/visual design things.

Be familiar with the foundation of UX (tools, processes, principles) and be curious about peers' tips, thoughts and experience like this one as an example (https://uxdesign.cc/12-non-design-tasks-to-elevate-your-design-process-b3a669f3bd03) so you can continue to build your own library :)

Good luck Issy! Hope this helps
  • Fundamental design principles covering layout, space and information heirarchy for interface design. Lectures on psychology, sociology and philosophy for understanding how people see, feel, read, remember, learn, and think. The rest will come naturally.
