We are looking for a small theatre production company or people interested in theatre to make a new exciting theatre piece.
Precious Cargo is an autobiographical recount (the writer Barton Williams) of an orphan from the world's largest humanitarian adoption program that took place in 1975. This stage play is more than a history lesson, it highlights the themes of displacement, love, family, prejudice, and resilience.
Not only is Precious Cargo a play that highlights a historical event like no other, but it also shares many themes such as, identity crisis, representation, personal history, and history itself, that could not be more fitting to share in light of the dynamic covid 19 changes we have witnessed over the last 16 months.
A read-through performance has already been conducted in 'The Vaults' in Waterloo to a sold-out crowd.
Please find a short video that highlights what Precious Cargo is truly about.

- Hi Thomas,I know the vaults very well as rehearsed my actors at the Vaulty Towers for our Radical, Political, Raw production of never performed works by Dario Fo and Franca Rame. I specialise in Physical Theatre and producing powerful, thought provoking work that examines Oppression, Identity while seeking and change...Before anything I always consider and seek to enable my actors to take risks in a safe space while finding ways in which the group are enabled to find a truth within their work, building upon collaborative strengths.
