- The answers given are quite intriguing
- Thanks @Caroline Larrain. Knowing your audience and producing a pitch proposal that speaks to them is a key factor to a successful outcome. Finding out what the industry standard is to use as a benchmark is also a great place to start. Assuming there is an industry standard. I'm a big fan of less is more!
- I like to think of the elevator pitch as a good type of strategy to mould any pitch, it goes straight to the bone, it's clear, it's short and it leaves something that makes you stand out. That been said, know your crowd and prepare the pitch for them, know how to raise their attention, do some research on who they are and what they like. Start with a catchy phrase that raises attention and keep that attention by giving important facts, sharing ideas, and letting them know why you have to be chosen. Of course everything you say after the first catchy phrase should be strategically ordered, once you've started make sure you've captured your crowds interest - have a 'Emergency Plan' if folks aren't engaging and use it- and finally my favorite phrase, more is less. If you flood people with information it will make it difficult for them to remember your key points and make them dizzy. If they want to know more, they will ask and that's generally good.
