Organised by Royal Society of Arts
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL) mean that the future is likely to see significant shifts in workplace experiences and how we live our lives.
This event, hosted by the RSA Innovative Education Network, will explore the crucial question: how do we best educate and equip young people to face the challenges and complexities of this emerging world?
Throughout the event, we’ll explore several key themes:
AI and Digital Literacy: what knowledge, skills, and values must young people develop to navigate AI and digital technologies? Beyond the technical—such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills—how can we instil empathy, equity, diversity, and collaboration?
Innovative learning approaches: how do we ensure that teaching and learning approaches and practices are engaging, high quality and connected to real world learning?
Understanding the complexities of AI: while young people may be digitally active, are they fully aware of the complex and problematic issues that surround the AI and digital world?
Reimagining assessment: How can we adapt and enhance methods of assessment more generally and in relation to AI and digital processes?
As with all IEN events, everyone is welcome. We’ll be hearing from expert speakers with a range of perspectives and there will be opportunities for discussion and the sharing of ideas and best practices with the wider network.
