WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
Learn how to make stop-motion animation in our eight-week course! You’ll work with other young people and professional tutors on the course to come up with an idea for a film and then bring it to life. The film will be shown as part of a series of short films produced by young people in the Roundhouse Studios. You can watch previous films produced here.
WHAT DO I GET BY TAKING PART?
Learn stop motion animation techniques, special effects and green screen filming
Record sound effects and voice over
Develop storytelling skills. Learn how to tell stories, create characters and design scenes
Work as part of a film crew
Have fun and make friends!
WHO IS TEACHING THE PROJECT?
Rainbow Collective who have won numerous awards for the animation training they provide to young people.
DO I NEED ANY PARTICULAR SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE TO TAKE PART?
This course is for 11-14- years-olds who have an interest in filmmaking and storytelling, and there is no need to have had any prior experience in film or animation in order to join.
